Draw a certain dimension arc

I have an arc of length, say, 100 units. I can measure this 100 units with arc length command, no problems there.

Bu i also want to mark a point that is 26 units from start on the arc. How can i mark that? (the measurement must be on the arc itself, like arc length command. not linear, just like road stationing)

in first answer I would propose the command "measure" by answering 26 a point will appear at 26 units of the beginning of the arc, of course there will be others (52, 78, 104...) but we can erase them together.
