Hi Guys,

So in a bit of a situation.

I have a submission in a few hours and nothing is working to solve the double click issue.  I did the noun setting and the pick first but that isnt working even.

If someone can help ASAP that would be amazing 🙂 I have uploaded the file.

Thank you!!

Hi,

>> Double Click to Edit Text does not work

Can you please describe what happens when you double click onto a MTEXT object? What happens on the screen and what does AutoCAD show in the command line?

Also worth to try:

  • verify the sysvar DBLCLKEDIT (it should be on)
  • what happens when you enter command _MTEDIT and select one of your MTEXT objects?

If you are in a pinch you can change the contents of the text from the properties window.

Hi Alfred,

I ended up resetting cad to it's default settings out of desperation for time. So that solved the problems for now! Will check my other files if there is an issue  there.

Thank you 🙂

Hi Alfred,

I find that my text is now rotating? I changed the style in my file which was the issue, but when I am pasting annotations from another file into this new one it rotates when editing it, but it does not share the same style as the previous one with the problems

Hi,

>> I find that my text is now rotating?

The text object is rotating to horizontal for better readability while editing ... that is normal.

If the text is rotating to vertical when editing then you might have used a truetype font with this "@" as first letter like "@Arial" ... this fonts should not be used, not for defining text-styles, not within MTEXT itself.
