I would like to do electrical drawings in ACAD Vanilla.  Can I import Electrical Blks from ACAD?  Is there a Workspace for electrical as in previous versions?

I don't recall there being a dedicated electrical workspace in any vanilla release.  Not certain if you are asking about blocks from AutoCAD Electrical (ACE); AutoCAD can use any basic blocks.  Its entirely possible to do electrical work with vanilla AutoCAD, as we do so (with some customization).

Dgorsman,

I have the basic ACAD 2016 program. It includes workspace for Drafting, 3D modeling and 3D Basics. Previous versions came with Workspace for Electrical. I would like to do electrical schematics with my current 2016 version. What are my options?

No version of Plain AutOCAD EVER came with an electrical workspace: someone either created it for you or you used to use AutoCAD Electrical http://www.autodesk.com/autocadelectrical

There are only the most basic electrical symbols in plain AutoCAD too: you'd pretty much have to create your own library or buy from a 3rd party if you cannot purchase and use tyhis instead http://www.autodesk.com/autocadelectrical

Plain AutoCAd is a generic CAD platform: made for everyone but no one industry specifically. Kind of like starting with a blank sheet of paper.
