document tabs disappear

The file tabs command is not working properly (command: _FILETAB).  I have several files open, but they do not show up in the file tabs, cannot use the file tabs to switch from drawing to drawing. I have restarted my computer several times, the problem remains the same after restart.

Type "Options" at the command line. Click the "Display" tab. Check the box next to "Display File Tabs" about half way down on the left.
