dimensioning

im trying to dimension an angular line, lets say at 45 degrees

How do i get the dimension line to appear parallel to the line sized rather than horizontal or vertical as is the default

frustrated!!!

Look for the "aligned dimension" rather than "linear dimension"

Hi,

 

i suggest to look from DDIM command and Modify your current dimension style . you may try Text Alignment or Text placement (see below image )

DIMALIGNED is the answer to your specific question, but also investigate DIMROTATED for related circumstances.
