Dimensioning - architectural

Question:

I have changed the units to read architectural - feet, inches.

I am able to draw in feet, inches... however when i go to dimension drawing it defaults back to decimal.

Any ideas how i can maintain the dimensioning to architectural.

Thanks

Are you using STANDARD for all of them?

You might want to check the Dimstyle  that you're using and what unit format you're using there.

hi changing the units will only change the drawing units however you should set up also a dimension in ft or inch in the dimension manager and set it to current before dimensioning you drawing

type DIMSTYLE <enter>, select the default style or create new and set it as default, on the "Primary Units" tab change decimal to architectural, set the precision, ok and close.

Did you remember to use DIMSTYLE command to set your dimension style to ARCH units too?
Simply doing it once in UNITS command is not enough: your teacher/tutor/guidebook can explain it to you if needed.
