Dimensioning a 2D isometric drawing

When we rotate the extension line using dimedit > oblique > angle, the dimension does reorients correctly, but the orientation of text remains unchanged.

Since it is a 2D drawing, distorting the text to make it appear as if written on a particular isoplane may not be possible.

Is there a way?

I am using AutoCAD 2010.

Do I have to first explode the dimension to change the oblique qngle of the dimension text?

I have attached a drawing.

I want the lower two dimensions to appear as the upper two dimensions.

Your suggestion to open the text formatting editing box by double clicking the dimension text does not work in AutoCAD 2010.

The upper two dimensions were exploded for changing the oblique angle for the text.

Can it be done without exploding the dimension, in AutoCAD 2010?

See attached.  Trick is to set up 2 text styles and 2 dimension styles.  Obliquing the dimensions is only part of the task.

Another request:

I am a teacher, and supposed to train my students on AutoCAD 2010.

I do have some good video links for learning/teaching the software, but these deal with specific features only.

I have the training manual for version 10 (25 years back), and I liked the approach because it gave overall picture of the software while working on the same project(s).

Learning was so fast. One could learn a lot just in 2-3 days, on one's own.

I believe there might be a similar training manual for AutoCAD 2010 also. Can you please mail its pdf to me at [email protected]

If you are or work at an educational institution, try setting up an educational account and then download the latest version of AutoCAD.  I haven't used 2010 AutoCAD in 7 or 8 years.

As far as training, I select a textbook for students to buy, which has training materials, end of chapter tests and training exercises.  In addition, I create a training outline to guide my lectures and have additional exercises.  Most of my effort today comes from creating training videos, instead of training manuals.

I teach Architectural Technology and don't need the textbook to be a command reference since I lecture that.  So we use Residential Design Using AutoCAD 2016 by Daniel Stine.  It gives a good mix and the end result is that the student has done a set of working drawings for a home.
