Hi all
Working in 3d in AutoCAD for the 1st time in 3 years, all 3d in Inventor last 3 years.
How do you all dimension your 3d solid models.
Inventor was no problem, you projected your view to a layout and dimensioned that view as if it was a 2d
(which in effect it was-it was a 2d projection of your chosen 3d orientation.
In autocad I am rotating my view to an orthographic view using the face of the view cube.
Then I am dimensioning in paper space.
The trouble is, if you adjust the position of the model in the viewport, the dimensions don't move
and you have to dimension again.
I have never done it like this before
When in 2d in autocad I have always dimensioned in model space using annotative scaling.
This way the dimensions are always attached to the model wherever you move it.
What is the best practice here as done by all you continuous 3d autocad users?
