I have created Aligned Dimension for a line and attached the dimension file as the external reference to another file by the scale of X, Y, Z to 0.0394 value. later binding both files through Bind Type->Bind option. Then I have exploded the block reference, only dimension region is getting scaled up. But the line remains same.
for the reference purpose, I have attached the dimension file.
Is there any way such that dimension values should not be scaled up. I would be really happy if someone could help me. thanks a lot!
Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,
>> But the line remains same. <<
that's NOT true and what happend is normal ... when you explode your scaled xref ( with 0.0394 value ) every thing is different , the dimension and Line length. tell us what exactly what you want to do and reach to guide you well .

thanks for the replay....
Ok...I got your point, both the line and dimension are getting changed(to small size) and is there any way where the dimension part remains same as the original one.

( with the scale option ) ...just keep them in the block and don't explode it .

hi
cheek the units in both file
just set them same value
for example both decimal or set the insertion scale to unitless .
Even after setting them to the same value. insertion scale to unitless. The issue is still reproduced.
HI
PLEASE SEND FILE WITHOUT EXPLODING .
I WANT TO EXPLODE IT IN MY AUTOCAD.
No, it's not the exploded. The attached file is with the normal dimension value.
Steps:
1-Open new file
2-Attach the given file as Reference by changing Xref scale with 0.0394 value for X, Y, Z
3. Bind the attached file through Bind->Bind Option.
4. Later select the block reference and explode. Then you can see the dimension value scaled up
I have attached another file, where you can directly open in the Autocad and explode it.
HI
MAKE A NEW DIM STYLE AND CHANGE SCALE FACTOR TO 25.4 AND IT WILL BE SAME HEIGHT BEFORE EXPLODING
(THE LINE LENGTH ISN'T THE SAME AS DIM BE CARE FULL)
