Dimension lines have spaces in lines

my dimensions are on tight spaces , so the the fit option is set to 'move text, add leader'. But why is there a space in the leader. all linetypes used are continuous. layers are the same . see attached screenshot for reference. even when I get a extension line that is solid (like I want it)  and then I do a match properties- it goes back to dashed.

I think it has something to do with the definition of the _Oblique arrowhead Block, but I can't pin it down.  Drag the text part farther away, and the gap remains where it is and the same size, and no other gaps appear, so it's not a linetype issue.

Thanks for the file: looks like you are up against the leader not wanting to interfere with the dimension extension line

As noted by @Kent1Cooper using any other tickmark removes the limitation, but both core 'tick' blocks do what you see in your files.

another observation- the gap size always stays the same size as the arrow, so if I change the arrow size to 1" the gap changes to 1" (but no arrow keeps a gap?!?). And the gap goes away with certain arrow types , but that does not help me any since we normally use a arch tick or oblique- and both of those apply the gap.

any idea of a setting that would change that ?

Have found no setting yet, seems to be "built-in".

You may get something from >this<.  It's about overcoming the limitation on how close the text is allowed to get to the arrow, but I assume the gap you are seeing is at least related to what that Message refers to as the tail of the arrow, of the same length as the arrow though not part of the Block, creating that limit.  It looks like with the oblique/tick Blocks that limit doesn't get filled in with tail as it does with other arrows.  I don't know of a way around it in this case, but I think using the approach there can reduce the gap -- maybe go further, and define a Block 4 times as big and use it at a quarter of the ordinary-Block size in the Dimension Style [or even more extreme...].
