Design Center and Tool Palette

I have currently created an AutoCAD Template for use by fellow Engineers in my company. Most do not have a CAD background and I created this drawing that contains all machine drawings and standard symbols for creating Lab layouts as blocks. At first there were some issues with layers and insertion points on my blocks that I have since corrected. But This template although a great start for them is still challenging to get to blocks for inserting to a drawing.

In doing some more research on my part and trying to learn more about AutoCAD's capabilities I have learned that the Design Center and Tool Palettes would make this process easier for them. My question is how would I go about setting up the DC so that if a fellow engineer was to open up AutoCAD on their computer they would be able to access the blocks and content I have created. Is there a way to save it to our company network?

Tool Palettes I have learned how to set up and add blocks from the drawing to easily access them and drag and drop to a drawing. Is there a way to save this tool palettes setting so that when another engineer of the company opens up AutoCAD on their laptop they will have all these settings I have been setting up on my computer and AutoCAD?

Any information and videos would be much help. I am trying to teach myself AutoCAD so sorry for any inconvenience on my end. I have attached the AutoCAD DWF. drawing template I created for them to use so that you can see where I am going with things.

Are you actually using the ARCHITECTURE variant of AutoCAD? That is the topic of this forum. Plain AutoCAD has a separate forum if that is all you have or how you only use the ARCH variant as for whatever reason.

FWIW Think of ADCENTER as WIndows File Explorer inside AutoCAD: its not magical, just a bunch of folders with files in them that you can open or drag and drop into your open dwg file. You can create ToolPalettes from ADC, but not the other way around. There is a lot of content on the web discussing it if you want to take the initiative to research it yourself right now.

Dean,

Thank you for the response. I personally do not have the Architecture CAD only but the other engineers for my company do, which is why I was submitting it under this forum. I have done lots of research online and through this forum but nothing really seemed to answer the questions I was searching for directly. I understand that Design center is like a my computer where I can store files and drawings to drag and drop into a drawing I am creating. My thing is it appears to only be for my personal computer. They would not be able to access any of those documents or blocks I am creating and saving unless it was to the company network.
