Deleting multiples (thousands of) faces at once

Hey peeps, okay so basically when I made this object I used the spline command, which when extruded (after being converted to a polyline) creates billions of faces that make my PC lag. I'd like to delete the forementioned faces (circled in red in the screenshot), but whenever I use the "delete face" command my AutoCAD crashes. Any suggestions on how to remove them? Thanks.

Hello @mrtime500

That section is not a face, so that is way the Delete Faces is not functioning properly. Please review the SOLIDEDIT to the section regarding the path of a spline.

Here is a zoomed in view in case it wasn't explicit enough: https://i.imgur.com/nZmz5sC.png

As you can see, extruding this polyline (formerly a spline) has led to a gigantic amount of lines that make my computer freeze. I want to delete these useless lines so that I can work of my project without my PC freezing to death.

It looks like the spline in the problem area was defined with an excessive number of vertices or you used too large a value in splinedit p (the default is 10). Try a smaller number when converting the spline to a polyline or reconstruct the spline with fewer fit point (or CVs).

Why are you converting the spline to a polyline?

@leeminardi In order to convert the spline to a polyline, I used "pedit" with a precision value of 99 then extruded the newly created polyline.

I had to first convert the spline to a polyline because of this: https://i.imgur.com/HqbXeOQ.png (example). It wouldn't let me extrude the spline.

It sounds like your original spline had way too many CVs.  Also, the use of 99 is excessive.  Can you post a drawing of the original spline that you could not extrude? How will you use the final solid model and how much precision do you think you will need?

I finally managed to extrude a spline to replace the old one. But I'm facing another problem now: I can't fillet this part of my object, I've tried many radiuses from 0.1 to 1 and none of them seems to work.
