default settings have gone

can you help me  - the drawing tools have gone funny - i cant put the curser over a line with out it darting about with in a much larger area than before -  i am unable to locate the cursor over a point as before and click on it to snap to it - i have probably changed a setting with out realsiing and cant undo it?

Hi @Anonymous, 

 

Are you still having an issue with your AutoCAD settings? 

 

Do you have the same issue if you log in as a different windows user? 

 

You could always try resetting your settings to default locate the "Reset to Defaults" option, I have included a picture below on where you can find this feature as well as looking over this article. Save a copy of your custom settings if needed. Let me know if this helps.

Could be as basic as setting SNAPMODE to off (0).

Along with the suggestions made in this thread you can also try the following; 

 

  1. Reset to defaults 
  2. Cursor in the Drawing AKN Article 

 

System Variable
