I try to new create a data extraction from my current drawing. To do so I want to create a new dataextractionfile without using a current file as an example.
As source I select my current drawing and under setting I select 'Only objects in model space'
When I choose [next] to go to the next step I see a popup flashing (I can't read it) but I stay on the same screen. This means I can't create my data extraction with these settings.
If I choose to select the objects in the drawing everything works fine but that means I have to update my selection everytime I want to update my tables.
How can this be solved?

- Make sure you've saved the drawing before extracting data. Probably the first alert box warns you to do this.
- Be sure to read any alert boxes.
- Use Drawings/Sheet set unless you really want to manually mess with the selection set each time you want to add objects. I always use the filtering method to narrow down objects in dataextraction rather than selecting objects.

The problem was that I couldn't read any of the alert boxes. So I wasn't able to see what the problem was.
But at this moment I solved the problem by running AUDIT and fixing the errors. After that the DATAEXTRACTION was working normaly.
