Dashed lines/polyline is not applying to the near both ends

Hi there,

I have a weird problem with just one of my drawings. Selecting any of the dashed line types, the line/polyline will not be dashed at both ends, and will stay continuous. They are also too small; for example, in the attached screenshot the linetype scale is set to 0.30, and if I change it to 0.40, it will be shown as a continuous line.

Here is a screenshot of a line for a sample.

BTW, I am using AutoCAD 2022.

You can delete all things and purge all stuff, except one of your lines..

Is this really a problem?

Everytime again surprised about your projects where also a lone is top secret (all people with this reply, not just yours)

Thank you for the suggestion. I changed it to 1, however, it didn't work 😞
I just noticed that I have also a pline that is a mixture of three different types! (attached)

PLINEGEN doesn't work right anymore.  Enabling or Disabling Linetype Generation in properties doesn't make any difference.  New dashed layer rectangles draw EXACTLY the same regardless PLINEGEN 0 or 1.  @2020+ has a lot of problems IMHO.

Is it a 3D Polyline, with portions sloping up/down in relation to the view direction, at varying angles?

Post a small drawing file exhibiting this behavior.

Not necessary. I remembered why PLINEGEN made no difference.

I work 3D models generating 2D plans, elevs and sections in all my work. If
working on parts inside the 3D models I turn on a custom X-Ray visual style.
Whenever 3D is on in the drawing editor all 2D polylines appear as if the
PLINEGEN is 1. Printing in the viewports remains good. Back to MS 2D
Wireframe and all is normal.

Every few months I come back into a drawing working on 2D objects not
noticing the 3D UCS icon and forget the reason for PLINEGEN not working.
You'd think Autodesk could prevent this nonsense on a purely 2D polyline.
I'm amazed no one recognized my problem. A Google search doesn't even
mention the 3D visual style issue. I can't be the only guy noticing this.
Where did the Experts go?

@rlaycock you yourself will need to report any issues you find in the program to Autodesk, that is done here https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback
and as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....
