Custom mouse clicks

Trying to make it so when I click a certain button on my mouse, it runs the line command. I've read all about it. I've changed the mouse button command under the cui. It just doesn't seem to do anything when I click the button. I'm running 2018 on Windows 10.

I have never tried it that way. I use the mouse driver software to make a macro for the mouse button and leave the autocad CUI as is.

My macros are pretty simple like....   M >.01 second pause>enter    which starts the move command with that mouse button.

My mouse uses setpoint, and for some reason either I can't set it to use a letter and the enter button or I haven't been able to figure out how.

I never had one with setpoints. I assume it's a logitech. I think I remember something about logitech mice having an issue with cad sometimes. Not sure the issue, just remember something mentioned about it. Might be better to ask logitech help how to set up a macro with the setpoints system. Which mouse is it exactly if I get time I'll try and look up more stuff about how.

I'm thinking you can use logitechs gaming software to make better buttons to work how you want. It seems like you can get this gaming software driver for logitech items. The software will detect logitech items you have plugged into your computer and then you should be able to make the macros or use letters in there. If I remember right I had a logitech gaming headset that I once had that I wanted to change a button on to mute instead of like song skip and I did it with logitechs gaming extra software. I'm including the link to logitechs page showing how to do this. Not sure if it has a link to get the gaming add on software but it should be able to find easier on logitechs site.
