Custom Hatches Won't Install

Hello, I have been using custom hatches for years including on this version of AutoCAD. I had to redownload AutoCAD a few months back and when I went to add custom hatches "Support File Search Paths" The folder can be added but it shows as empty. These patterns work on other people's computers but not mine. Note I am running windows on a MAC, but it was working fine and the files are saved in the windows side too.

Hi,

Restart your CAD application to ensure the new path is recognized.

Hello,
I have restarted several times, the hatches are not even visible in the
folder they are in from AutoCAD's Support File Search Path section, but
they are visible in the folder on Windows and on the Mac side, I put them
in both areas and it works for neither.

As a test copy your custom •.pat files into the same location as acad.pat.
The default location for the acad.pat file is:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20xx\RXX.X\enu\Support\  (where the X represents values that vary by product
Restart AutoCAD and now run the Hatch command, select Settings to bring up the Hatch dialog, click on Swatch and see if all your •.pat files now show up under the Custom tab for selection

Glad to have helped...but make sure you keep a copy of all your custom files like *.pat so that when you install the next version of AutoCAD you'll have them to copy over...until you can resolve the problem with AutoCAD not seeing another folder location outside of its folder structure...cheers!!!

Thanks for the tip, I have it saved in multiple locations to be safe!
