CTB: use object lineweight

When the layer of an object states default lineweight, and the color of the CTB file says use object lineweight, and the line has zero width, what pen width is used for plotting?

The plotted pen width will be the width that is assinged to the color in CTBs. (regardless of what it says in the layer manager, or the properties palette)

Open the .ctb file and to what pen width is assinged tp the color.

The CTB file says "Use Object Line Weight." So what thickness is that?

Mike,

The default line weight (if your are using ctb method) is "default" and it means the line weight is taken from LWEIGHT command under default settings (depending on the units you selected there 0.25 for mm or 0.010 for inch)

if in ctb under lineweight field you keep it "Use object lineweight" then "default" is used, otherwise the setting there will override any other setting that was make in drawing (this is also true for colors and linetypes)

hope now it's clear?!

Moshe
