criss cross line appearance on drawing when you open .dwg file

Help!

When I open drawing zig zag cross lines appears on drawings- Is there anywhere I can turn off  or what else can I do to eliminate those zig zag lines all over drawings-frustrating when you are a new user.

You are in the wrong forum: how did you end up in here? Way off 🙂

Turn off your AutoCAD's hardware acceleration options and see if that problem goes away. I'd help you in more detail but you did not tell anyone which AutoCAD version you are using or much else.

Turn off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables (explained in HELP).
If those don't help, start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and turn off more settings.

I have 1 VM that does this because it doesn't have a graphics card. I had to turn off hardware acceleration. If you don't have a graphics card that is certified or the driver has issues, you may also need to turn off acceleration and just use the onboard graphics driver.
