Starting from scratch I am trying to create templates as per standard paper sizes :
A0 : 841 x 1189 mm
A1 : 594 x 841 mm
A2 : 420 x 594 mm
A3 : 297 x 420 mm
A4 : 210 x 297 mm
However I am not understanding how to fit any structure whose dimensions are much bigger than any of the paper sizes, for example a builging of say 20m x 17m. Do I need to apply scale to the drawing.
I am trying to understand in depth the differences in the following scenarios from a SCALE point of view :
Scenario 1 : Starting Autocad > Set units > Set Limits > Zoom All > Create any drawing > Taking prints in paper sizes of my choice ranging from A4 to A0
Scenario 2 : Starting Autocad > Set Units > Create Templates as per paper sizes > Fitting drawings of any dimensions in any of the Templates
Scenario 3 : Starting Autocad > Set Units > Set Limits > Zoom All > Create any drawing > Apply dimensions using Dimension Style commands > Selecting the Scale Factor using DIMENSIONSTYLE command
What is the co-relations between applying scales during drafting in Autocad & the drawing getting scaled output as a print in my preferred paper size.....
