Creating Dynamic Block with Editable Attributes

Good afternoon all,

I'm needing a little help with a dynamic block problem. Here's a quick breakdown of what I'm doing

- I had 12 blocks each with identical attributes (separate blocks)

- I exploded and then combined the blocks to create one dynamic block with a visibility parameter

-I set the visibility parameters to only change the geometry surrounding the attributes.

-I set the attributes to be locked in location and different tags to each one (there are 6 attribute definitions)

after doing these operations I inserted the block into the drawing expecting to be able to double click and modify the attribute fields. -Did not work- , I looked at the properties panel and see that the Attributes aren't even listed in the properties. I feel like I am missing something rudimentary to the way I created the block.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Daniel

Hi,

constant attributes can't be modified individually, so they are not listed.

To have the list of attributes for every block-insertion they have to be "not constant".

I applied the adjustment suggested but still cannot even see the attributes when selecting the dynamic block in modelspace. I have checked all the attributes in the block editor and they are set to visible on all the visibility. When I select the block it doesn't even give the nodes to select for editing like other attributed blocks, likewise in the properties panel I don't see the fields I can edit in other blocks.

Firstly, thank you for your assistance,

not sure if this is reposting but I don't see my previous post in response.

I did the action of turning off the constant option in the properties of the attribute within the block editor. I also went through and made sure that all the attributes were visible on all the visibility states since they are static between the different graphic states of the block. Attached i have put 3 images, one is showing the options currently on the block in the block editor, another is the block in model space with those properties applied showing that I dont get the grips/nodes to modify the attributes as seen in the picture of the original block.

Hi,

did you run command _ATTSYNC after modifying the attribute definitions?
