Quite familiar with Creating a rectangle/square using the Rectangle command.

There is also an option to create a rectangle by area. fantastic, just what I need. So, follow the prompts and i get nothing like what I hoped for.

command list below.

Command: _rectang
Specify first corner point or [Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width]:
Specify other corner point or [Area/Dimensions/Rotation]: A
Enter area of rectangle in current units <9000.000>:
Calculate rectangle dimensions based on [Length/Width] <Length>: L
Enter rectangle length <3.000>: 3000

I end up getting a rectangle, not a square.

I have attached .dwg which I hope shows what i want to achieve better than my description.

3000x3000 is not 9000²

Do you like to create a square by area? Then you can calculate it

For length: (sqrt 9000) or without lisp: 'CAL sqrt(9000) - read about CAL [F1]

94.8683*94.8683=9000²

The command is rectanle, not square..

it's correct rectangle . depending on your numbers ( 3000 x 3 = 9000.00 ) .... isn't it ?

>> I have attached .dwg which .... <<

My mistake, on the .DWG I wrote 9000 Sq.m, now engaged brain, should have read 9.00sq.m. As is on the drawing.
