Creating a dynamic template with interchangable variables

Hi, I would like to make a template in which i could select it then fill out a form and it would give me a drawing with elements and objects based on my selection. For an example: I would like to fill out a form for a block scheme which I would have 6 outdoor and 3 indoor cameras connected to a switch and the switch connected to a pc terminal. The point is that I can change how much camera I want and will there be IR cameras, outdoor, indoor, etc. Also all of the elements and blocks are predefined where I have objects already drawn which represent the cameras, the switch and pc user. Is there any means already in AutoCAD or will i have to resort to other programs. If i had to could someone at least point me in the right direction because I have no idea where to start. Also if someone did not understand my analogy I would like it to work something like a Microsoft Word fillable form. I have also included a derived scheme to get a rough understanding of what I want.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @Anonymous,

You can create a template with fields in AutoCAD, these fields can be edited like filling out a form as you mentioned. Please take a look at this video fast forward to 8:35 timestamp.
