Hi,

>> how do you create a point with description

Create a block with an attribute, then use command _INSERT to position that block and fill the attribute with the description.

>> and export points to asci file

I guess AutoCAD LT 2016 has the command _DATAEXTRACTION, if that does not work then please look to command _ATTEXT.

Hi @Anonymous,

I made a short video for you to see the process. I have also included a sample drawing with my block, a template file, and a sample output file.

Please let me know if this helps.

Hi @Anonymous,

I created my point with true geometry rather than using a node. This is a personal preference.

The attributes might make a difference in the extraction.  Why don't you attach your point block and let me take a look for you.

Hi @Anonymous,

I added your point to a block with some attributes.  I modified the extraction template slightly and it is successful in capturing the point information.  I hope this is doing what you are asking.
