Create a linetype with diamond

I'm trying to create a linetype like this one at the bottom

Is it even possible? I only get long dash short dashed lines from this.

I've followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9frj83w68M

The content in the .lin -file (attatched) reads: A,.12,-.039729,.08,-.04

Hi,

to create the diamond part within a linetype you need to create a symbol and use that symbol in your linetype.

You could do the same with a text character.  Several symbol fonts contain characters that are squares, and you could put one in rotated 45 degrees, with a coinciding line portion.  It could take some care in fine-tuning the positioning and scale, but it might be easier than defining a Shape for it with the necessary Shape file to contain it.

Found this:

Character            Name                   Hex                     Dec

⧅                         bsolb                  029C5                 10693

Could I use this and rotate?

Should I use the symbol or the Hex-code?

As @Kent1Cooper said - you need to find a font that has that symbol defined:

*Symbol,Symbol
A,2,-1,["\U+29C5",standard,y=-0.76,x=-0.0,s=1.5,r=45],-1.5

Where "Standard" text style has a font of "@Malgun Gothic"
