creat linetype

Hi  Guys,

I made a triangle which base is 4mm then made the shape as a linetype. I wish i can get 5 triangles in a 20mm line. But you can see in below image, it's only 4 triangles. Anyone can tell me why? Thanks in advance.

AutoCAD requires a starting and ending line for each and every LINETYPE you create, or Autodesk created: it's how the program does it. That appears to be your issue from your screenshots.

How about an ARRAY in the meantime?

Post the .shx file and the .lin linetype definition.

I have a notion that probably on curves you get the kind of thing at left here:

but that a different way of defining the linetype could get you the kind of thing on the right and might also fix your original issue.

Can you live with a 20-unit line being 20.001 units long, or a 40-unit line being 40.001 units?  That "solves" it for me in your sample drawing, judging by the dots [I don't get the shapes themselves].

Can you share the line type code inside the .lin file you created?

It is possible by adjusting the linetype definition. If you can post your shapefile of R4.shx, then it would be easier to see and check the adjustments.

I simulated your linetype using the existing shape ZIG, as shown in the picture.
