Hi,
I have a Dell 3510 Workstation and AMD Fire-Pro graphics card .
I work with a student version of Auto-CAD 2016 and recently while working computer shuts down unexpectedly and without any log after re-opening. The files are simple files of drawing without any additions.
After a conversation with Dell's support, I changed the operating system from Windows 10 to Windows 7 Pro clean boot- after the re-installation, computer crashes again.
what can I do? Do you have a problem like this?
I reinstalled the Auto Cad and still no change..
Thanks
Roie

Hi,
welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!
>> after the re-installation, computer crashes again
If "crash" means the computer turned off without any message, just like power off in fast mode PLUS a new setup with different Windows version did not help ... then you have hardware conflicts/defects.
Or does "crash" mean anything else ... then please describe messages you get or what happens exactly.

Hi,

That means that you have hardware conflicts, one guess I would look first: does your fan for cpu and/or gpu work? Can you test temperature for both processors and look if their temperature raise up before the power off happens? If yes it's like an emergency shut down to avoid damage of the processor.
>> It only happened when i was working with Autocad
That's normal as AutoCAD (or more general CAD systems) stresses your system more than most other software.
Word is just waiting for you to type a character, nothing more.

Have you tried another mouse?
Have you tried another drawing?

Hi,

If your mouse is connected to USB, change your USB drivers too.
Make sure the drivers of your old mouse are uninstalled.
If it's a laptop then uninstall the drivers for the touchpad (and make sure they don't install automatically).
