Hi,
We're getting regular crashes when trying to update multiple datalinks.
Excel 2016 (32bit) to AutoCAD 2017 (64bit).
The workaround we're using is to update 4 or 5 datalinks at a time, save, then update another 4 or 5. At some point in updating the 40 odd datalink tables, AutoCAD will stall during the update, we end the task, then go back to the last save.
The problem has existed ever since we were upgraded to Excel 2016 (from 2010) and occurred with AutoCAD 2014 and now 2017.
To be honest, I doubt the problem will be solved here, and we are slowly moving to using code generated tables rather than datalinks (because of this problem) but I was wondering, is there a way to get AutoCAD to stop a Datalinkupdate so we don't have to use Task Manager to end the acad.exe task when things do stall?
Cheers.
