Count or total length for polyline objects

I have created a storm water layout with polylines. I have them on separate layers for different pipe sizes, elbow sizes, etc.  How do I do a select similar on the same items for a total count or total length?

• Follow the official answer Here from Autodesk support.
• You can download and install a universal plug-in like TotalLength from the Autodesk App Store to calculate the total length of multiple objects, including lines, arcs and circles.
