Corridor Shrinkwrap and Crossing Baselines?

I have a custom subassembly created in the subassembly composer.  This is used to build a corridor that, depending on the targets, sometimes builds links which cross from one side of the baseline to the other, and sometimes only builds links on the left side.  The intent is to daylight from an offset feature line on the left to a target surface, but terminate if the daylight occurs between the baseline and the offset target on the left, otherwise build a different slope to daylight quickly to the right of the baseline.

It is difficult to explain, but the intent of this corridor is that there should sometimes be an empty "gap" between the baseline and the links that compose the corridor surface.

The problem I am running into is that the corridor surface shrinkwrap boundary does not like it when the corridor transitions from having links on both sides of the baseline, to having links on only one side, back to having them on both sides again.

The corridor surface boundary will shrikwrap appropriately to the corridor where the links span to either side of the baseline, but as the links transition to being entirely on the left side, the "right" side of the shrinkwrap boundary conforms to the baseline rather than crossing over to stay with the outermost feature line of the links.

Manually adding feature lines as boundaries does not fix this.

Is it possible to have a corridor boundary where the right side of the boundary can cross over the baseline to be on the left side?  Or do I have to manually create a boundary from polylines in these cases?

Thank you.

There are no "Corridors" in plain AutoCAD, this forum's topic: are you using Civil3D version by chance, or a 3rd party add-on? Separate forum for the former, the maker of the add-on for the latter would be better places to post.

TIA

Oops, I guess I may have asked this in the wrong place.  I am using Civil3D and the Subassembly Composer.
