Copy Proof ????

I have seen this a lot in different sites, but no luck.

As long as lisp this been in use, I can’t believe no one has made a way to stop someone from copying your work.  I know how to make a .fas and .VLX files, but has anyone come up with a way to stop or at least a way to make it harder to copy { but still be able to auto load? }

Understand your needs, but if you need help to fix your code, it needs to be visible which I know you know..  If I don't want my program code to be viewed by others, I don't share that program period. I have created a fas file here and there if I want to share the program but that is my option.  The programs you write are yours unless you decide to share them. That decision is yours alone.

I hope that you understand this, I know I’m not the best at writing down my thoughts.

The reason I would like to copy proof this auto lisp file is that I can sell it for a good price.   Hence the copy proof.  But still it has to be able to auto load.

I thanks you for your thoughts.

What you really need is a copyright. That will keep the honest guys enough to deter them. That will also give you legal recourse if you catch anyone using it without your permission.

If you can lock it, there is someone that can unlock it. Without the copyright, there is not much you can do about it.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Thanks for all your thoughts, and I do have it copyrighted and registered. When someone copies it and they will the chances of catching them is low being it’s a computer program. The only way to stop it that I see is copy proofing it someway.
