copy/paste dimension problems

I'm trying to copy a sheet from one drawing and add it to the sheet of another drawing.  The drawing that I am copying from is a DWG file that was created in the AutoCAD 2007 format by PTC Creo.  When I open that file in AutoCAD, the dimensions look exactly as I created them in PTC Creo.  However, when I copy that sheet from one drawing in AutoCAD 2014 to another in AutoCAD 2014 my dimensions get all screwed up.  For example, here's what will happen:

The dimension 2-3/4 will change to 2.75000.  Is there any way I can copy and paste the drawing so that the dimensions stay exactly the same?

2-3/4 is the same as 2.75000.

The objects are the same, but the destination drawing has a Decimal as the unit in the current Dimension style.

Either change Dim Style, or modify the active Dim Style to change the display.

Seems like your dimension style is set to feet and inches in one file and set to decimal in the other.

Format your units and dimension style in both source and destination files to be the same and what you want.

I have objects in the destination file with the dimensions set up like 2-3/4.  You're right that the dimension style is set up as Decimal, but how do I get it somehow set up so where it shows 2-3/4 instead of just 2 3/4?  Is there any way I can set the style off of a dimension in the file?

I have added an image in my first post showing where you change it:

Dimension > Modify > Primary Units > Unit Format > Change from Decimal to Architectural.

This will apply to all dimensions using that style.

I can't get it to look like the other.  Close but no cigar.
