Converting autocad 2018 files to 2017

I used Autocad 2018 on my new computer to work on a school project, but when I got back to my school, I coudn't open any of my files with autocad 2017. Is there a way to convert 2018 files to 2017?

Hi,

Yes ... from OPTION command go to Open and Save tab and change to lower format . now when you save your files it will take the new lower format.also _DWGCONVERT command will converts drawing format version for selected drawing files.

Download DWG TrueView from the Autodesk website and you can batch convert as many drawings you want to the format you want:

https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg/viewers#

Area Object Link | Attribute Modifier | Dwg Setup | Feet-Inch Calculator
Layer Apps | List on Steroids | VP Zoom Scales | Exchange App Store

Since, 2018 is a new .dwg format. Save as an older format may cause issues. In order to avoid issues and ensure functionality, one should convert to earlier formats.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

It can only be converted to 2013
