convert multiple files from .dxf to .dwg format

Hi, I'm using AutoCAD 2015 i have 500 .dxf files i want to convert them into .dwg format i know the command dxfout to convert them but this command works for each drawing. I want to convert all 500 files at a time is there any command or any script to run. If yes please explain me how to do

I checked in the Autodesk App Store and there is a free tool there that might help you do the DXF to DWG conversion called DXF2DWG.  Please let me know how well this works for you.

is it possible to convert all the 500 files at single time or do i need to break them into some amount of sheets ?

HI @Anonymous,

If this were me, I would test first on one or two of the DXF files.  If successful then considering doing perhaps 20-30 at a time. If that seems to work, then again increase the quantity.

I would also make sure that I have backups of all the data before running the conversion.

When will we have the DXF2DWG version for the AUTOCAD 2019 available?

Since this is not an Autodesk product I don't have mush to say.  I have contacted the developer's support site to see if they can tell me if they plan a new version and if so, when it might be available.  Typically this takes a couple of days to come back to me but i will post when I get some information.

The developer was quick to respond and they indicate that 2019 support should be released by the end of June.
