Hi all,
I actually use AutoCAD LT the majority of the time because we send out only 2D drawings anyway and it suits my needs without the added potential errors of having a separate dimension. Im sure the method for both AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT will be the same for this. Anway...
I have created over the years my perfect template with imperial units. More and more I am coming across metric requirements so I decided to make a copy of my template and change the necessary components to metric. This was not as easy as I thought. I changed the "units" to mm, and changed my primary units in my annotative dimension style to mm.
I was annoyed to see that when I drew a 200mm line, and tried to plot it at a 1:1 scale on my 8.5x11 paper, it was huge as if it assumed the line was 200 inches.
Any other threads I have read on this basically just say to change everything with a scale of 25.4. This method does not work for my paperspace scale. I want to type in 200 and have it show up properly.
Thanks
Sandro
