Control scale of plotted line types

We’re considering incorporating annotation scales to our new CAD standard.

We currently use DIMSCALE settings. By this method, we set LTSCALE to be half of any given DIMSCALE. The problem I’ve encountered is not being unable to reproduce our current line types within the annotation scale framework. Example, via our usual method, a dashed line of a certain length will have 48 dashes at 1/8” AND at 1/4” scale. Using annotation scales, that same length of line is represented by a line having 32 dashes at 1/8” scale and 64 dashes at 1/4” scale.

Q: Manipulating dimscale is old-school, why do there now? Embrace ANNOTATIVE text/dim/mleader styles and blocks fully, 100% all the time, it's a quicker simpler more user-friendly way to work in AutoCAD.

In the meantime look up MSLTSCALE and PSLTSCALE variables in HELP: setting your LTSCALE to a low number like 1 would help see how those relate to each other.

Using annotative scale (and an LTSCALE of 0.5) a dashed line of a certain length has 32 dashes at 1/8” scale and 64 dashes at 1/4” scale. Whereas a dashed line of the same length will have 48 dashes at 1/8” AND at 1/4” scale via the current method.

Is there a way to manipulate line type scale settings to achieve the same result using annotative scaling? If there is, I have not found the right combination of settings.
