Command Line Options no longer showing

Hi all

IT have just given me a replacement laptop and the configuration has changed for the command line...

So for example if i choose SLICE or PLINE then instead of giving me the options of how to configure the command [Arc, Close, Length etc etc] it just has a lower case repeat of the command i.e. it looks as follows

PLINE _pline

SLICE _slice

and for the life of me i cant figure out how to now choose the slicing options eg, 3 point or XY plane etc????

If i type in '3P' it just comes back as invalid selection

Anyone have any clues... I thought it might have been the Lines Of Prompt History but that doesn't seem to achieve anything...

The software version is identical from what i can see AutoCad 2016 and all the tool bars etc look identical... Thanks

Hi,

Enter command NOMUTT and enter 0.

Check if this is the problem. If it is set to 1 message display in the command line will be suppressed.

Cheers,

Perfect!!! NOMUTT is for some reason set to 1.. Thank you...

Ive done a bit of basic research and seen that it is a system variable... and it resets to 1 every time i open a file.. Can it be set permanently 0??

Ask your CAD admin.

Or search about your own customization.

(findfile "acaddoc.lsp")

or acad.lsp

or mnl files

Or Appload startup suite

That isn't standard.
