COMBINE XREF IN ONE FILE

I have several xref drawings I want to combine. I edited some of them per file/ change layer properties, but once I xref to new file to combine (for sending) I have to redo all changes on the properties thru the (vp) layer settings per paper space layout. Is there a much faster way to do this?

save to another file and bind the xrefs before sending?

You can use Layer States Manager to Export the layer settings as a *.las file, then Import it in the new master file.

Look into the VISRETAIN variable:

Also, consider using the eTRANSMIT command when sending files:
