colors not printing even though they show up in print preview

I'm trying to print a landscape plan in which we used different colors of solid hatching for the trees, water bodies, etc. The colors show up in the print preview but not on the paper copy. I've made sure all the layers are set up to plot. I've looked through the color table settings, as well, but can't find any reason why the hatches won't print.

Have you tried to plot it to PDF? Does it seem right there?

It did look ok in the pdf. We eventually just worked around the problem by printing the pdf instead of the cad file. I'm still kind of curious why it was doing that, though.

I suspect the problem is the printer driver. Have you tried to update the driver?
