I have existing co ordinate at 5m interval but i want to generate random co ordinate data based on existing 5m interval co ordinate data that represents exactly same cross section that is generated by 5m interval co ordinate data.......need help its urgent... I have attached the excel file of 5m interval co ordinate data....Thanks in advance
wating for the solution...
FYI: This isn't like getting eyeglasses in the mall. It's not "get what you want in an hour or less". I'm not sure if anyone who has read your original question even knows what you're after. There is still no attachment either. Thanks.
Here I have attached the 5m interval co ordinate file.....please find it
Arbin,
OK, I see you have a file of chainages/stations. What is it you want to do with it? Do you have Civil 3D?

Sorry for late reply...i have been to site....yes i have civil 3d....i just want to generate random cordinates which generate same same cross section that i have generated from the coordinate file i have attached previously
Arbin,
To be useful in Civil 3D your point file needs offset information to create an Alignment. If you create a Surface from those points, then you can manually create cross sections using CREATEQUICKPROFILE.

sir can you generate some randome points that have exactly same contour as generated by the file i have attached
Arbin,
"...randome points that have exactly same contour as generated by the file..."
After you create new points you can move them to Surface Elevation:

sir i have generate the random points but doesnt represent the same contour....
Arbin,
"...doesnt represent the same contour...."
We need to see what you're seeing. How about posting your drawing and maybe some screenshots of what isn't working.

I have generated points as suggested by Dave, but it doesn't work.......here i have attached the generated random points data and screenshot......
Arbin,
OK, I see what you mean. The Surface Contours created from your new points doesn't match the Surface Contours created from the old points.
Contours are a representation of Surface Data, so different data (points) will produce different Contours. And the more widely the Points are spaced, the greater the difference.
