CNC fill pattern

Hello guys,

I have been looking for a way to draw the Fill path of the CNC as illustrated in the attached document. Is there an easy way to do it except offsetting and trimming. I couldn’t do it for complex shapes. Please help and let me know if there is add ons for this purpose.

Hi,

There is no other way but offset and trim commands .

All CAM programs I know of do this filling themselves. It is enough to export the part and pocket contours from AutoCAD (usually via DXF).

What kind of CNC machine do you use? What's with the stupid CAM program you're doing an NC-program in?

However, I can develop such additions to my AVC NC Prepare plugin if you are willing to pay for development. Only I think that raster sampling will be easier to implement than spiral sampling.

Thanks for the reply. I use a dispensing system by Nordson. It can only fill rectangles and circles. Unfortunately, I am a student so I can’t spend any money on this. Is there a free way to export the file to Autocad from any free CNC software?

I do not know if this will yield an acceptable solution with less manual work but OFFSET might work better if you first create causeways to any islands and then use BOUDARY to create a single polyline for OFFSET to reference.  Additional editing may be required.
