Click2XLS Update

Hi guys!

I have the Click2XLS.vlx, the one that exports coordinates to Excel. And before everytime i use this .vlx, i have to change the UCS because i need coordinates from certain areas of a drawing from certain basepoints. My question is, can anyone please share a little assistance in slightly updating this .vlx and include the part where i move the UCS? It is very time consuming and furthermore whenever i exit the command i have to click next cell in the Excel worksheet everytime, otherwise it will overwrite the existing coordinates; so being only one command, will be very helpful. I know that without the original .lsp a .vlx cannot be updated, but maybe you guys know another way or another .lsp that can help a bit🙂

You can create a menu macro or new LSP that does your UCS thing and then call the other command. What manual steps do you take now before this command?

So this is what i’m doing now, step by step:

1. Update the UCS location (UCS comand)

2. Use Click2XLS comand

3. Exit Click2XLS, go to Excel worksheet and click the next cell, because the next time i use Click2XLS comand it will overwrite the previous coordinates

4. Allover again (and have to do this lots of time a day)

So, the main idea is to somehow get to the next coordinates without having to exit the comand. I’m thinking of somehow joining the Click2XLS comand and the UCS comand, but maybe i’m wrong

Show step 1 from your command line. Exactly what do you do and when do you click anywhere and how? 

This can be done easily together with the other command but the rest of it is more complicated.

If you want it really simplified a new similar command needs to be created, if you are willing to pay for the work we can help.

It would be helpful to know that even this little routine has it's author. And also to know who is it. It's not just 'I have'. Kinda disrespectful, isn't it?

Thanks. Being the author - I am not that much touchy 🙂 - but mentioning would help to notify me or CAD Studio and get the answer faster.

Is the problem in (not) respecting the current UCS or in not following from the current cell position in the Excel file?

As a feedback for your routine, which is amazing however, it would be great when someone uses the routine several times in a row with an ''EXIT'' between, the points to be exported in consecutive cells; now the previous coordinates are always overwritten because it remembers the same cell again.

Related to the UCS part, i will manage it, i don't want to ask for too much.

The Excel cell focus is now moved properly so you can continue data entry after eXit - please download the latest update (V1.8) from www.cadstudio.cz/freeware
