Changing the script of tool palettes

Anonymous

Hi all

I have created an extensive list of tool palettes for my work

The location of the files within these palettes has been changed and therefore the tool palettes no longer work

I've tried changing the script of the palettes but nothing seems to have changed

can anyone advise me on the matter as re doing all the tool palettes will take atleast a full week of work

Regards

Hi,

if you export tool palettes you get an XML-compatible file. These can be loaded using e.g. Notepad++ and that tool can replace strings within multiple files in one step.

Does the old location still exist or can it be recreated? If so, can you copy those files back to the old location temporarily? Then you can export them to the new location yourself using the customize palettes dialog box and that may fix the paths for you.

Hi,

Have you just exported the file and modified it you did you also import the modified file then and made sure this content is shown in the palette?
