Changing Text Colour In Data Linked Table

I have a schedule sheet in excel that have pulled into an Autocad drawing by creating a datalink to the excel sheet and then creating a table.

The text in the excel sheet is a combination of black and blue. This is a commercial sheet and the cells are protected, i.e. I can not change the colours or fonts etc from within excel. The reason for the different colours is to tell the user which are fields for manual entry and which have formulas.

I need the text to display all in black in Autocad however the colours reflect the colours from the excel sheet. Is it possible to change the text colour within Autocad? Changing the text colour within properties does not work. The text prints black and blue irrespective of .ctb settings

Hello,

Changing the Look of the Table
When you initially data link an Excel spreadsheet, the formatting comes from Excel. However, if you need to have your table (or even just specific cells in your table) look a certain way, don’t worry; you can define your own cell styles and select them individually, or as a group, and change any aspect of your cells with the convenient Table Cell contextual ribbon.

I recommend the following videos: Excel-ing with AutoCAD®: No Programming Required

as well as the one below.

Hello,

thank you for the reponse. I have watched the video and it was interesting however it did not provide a solution. There was mention of changing the colour of text however the presenter referred to the text in the excel spreadshseet as being coloured either with an assigned colour or as 'automatic'. He compared 'automatic' to colour BYLAYER and said this was easy to change in Autocad. He didnt give a solution for changing the colour of the text which had a colour assigned. This seems to be my situation. I can change the colour of the black text using the contextual ribbon/properties however the blue text will not budge

Request the owner of the excel sheet to copy the tab and unprotect for CAD purposes only.

Otherwise, request an Unprotected COPY of the excel, while maintaining the original protected.
