Change the extension of existing center marks and centerlines

With the multi-functional center grip of a center mark I can uniformly change the extension length of all four centerline extensions at once.

This doesn't work for centerlines. Here I have to change the start extension and the end extension individually. Wouldn't it be nice to have on centerlines the same functionality to change the extension on both ends symmetrical at once, wouldn't it? (Tested with AutoCAD 2020).

Or did I miss something?

Hi,

>> Wouldn't it be nice to have on centerlines the same functionality to change the extension on both ends symmetrical at once

it can be done ... you can restore the centerline extensions to the value specified in the CENTEREXE system variable. try to type CENTERRESET in command line then press enter after selecting your needed centerlines . after that you will be notice that both centerlines extensions are modified to follow the value in CENTEREXE system variable .

Thanks for your response. But my intention is another.

Assuming CENTEREXE has the needed value and most of my centerlines are correct. But for some of them I want to change the length symmetrical afterwards by different values. It's annoying to have to grab each of the line twice to drag the line ends to the needed value. I think it would save time to do it similar to the center marks (where I can change the length of all four extensions at once), also change the length of both extensions of a centerline at once.
It is not a big problem. Maybe Autodesk can consider this in future AutoCAD versions or upgrades (?)

how about after changing CENTEREXE to the new value , just start select those center lines that you want to modified then Right Click and select from the menu Reset Extension length .

In my case this makes more effort than pulling the two line ends to the desired length.
OK, I know now that this functionality is not available at the moment. I can live with that. I only wanted to be sure that I did not miss something.
Thanks again.
