Cannot draw line properly

Hi there,
This is my first time posting on this forum. I'm a novice in CAD software. Having trouble suddenly.  I am trying to draw a line parallel to another one.

First, I draw a line with L + Enter + (0, 0) + Enter + (30, 0) + Enter

Then I draw another line with L+ Enter + (0, 1.5) + Enter + (30, 1.5) + Enter
Once the second line is drawn, it starts at (0, 1.5) but ends at (30, 3).

Every other line I draw using (x, y) coordinates behaves similarly. AutoCAD on my android is working properly but Autocad on my MacBook is also changing value of Y axis.
I know I can draw a parallal line in many other ways, but why is this happening? And how do I fix it? Attached Screenshot and SCreen recording. Thank you.

That's because your settings are for relative coordinates so the second point is relative to the first. If you want absolute coordinates then use the command DSETTINGS and on the Dynamic Input tab choose Settings under pointer input and then choose Absolute Coordinates. Click OK and OK.

OR, turn off Dynamic Input [F12 key].

OR, type in a # before the coordinates to get absolute rather than relative coordinates even with Dynamic Input turned on:

#30,1.5
