Can't sign in to A360 from AutoCAD 2017

Ever since installing 2017 I can't sign in to autodesk in the program. I type in the correct username and password and it signs me in for a second then immediately brings back the sign in prompt. I need to use geolocation services but I can't unless I'm signed in. I have tried using a different email to make a new account and that one does the same thing.

@Anonymous,

@Anonymous At the time I was in a rush to send out a project, and decided it was best to download the Autodesk 360 Desktop version than spending time fixing the Autodesk 360 in AutoCAD.

@john.vellek Couldn't change the name of the file in your suggestion. When I finish my project(s) I'll get back you.

@john.vellek I was finally able to complete your suggestion, now my Autodesk 360 is all grayed out in AutoCAD and Sign In pop-up won't even show now, posting screenshot.  😞

@Anonymous How come it doesn't show you marked me as a solution?

Hi Andrew, Did you make sure to disable the A360 in your system tray as well? Also from your attached image, it appears that you are not signed in. Does it not let you drop that down still?

Also, did you try logging in as a different user onto your workstation and then try? Perhaps the issue is stored in your user profile.

Please hit the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.

Hi @john.vellek

Not sure when it happened, but Autocad 360 Sign In now works with my AutoCAD 2016 and 2017. It will not work for 2013 still, and I need it working to use my 3rd Party Add-on.

- Did you make sure to disable the A360 in your system tray as well? Not sure what you mean.

- Does it not let you drop that down still? Now in 2016 and 2017 yes, but still not in 2013. Under my username and other usernames on the same computer.

- Did you try logging in as a different user onto your workstation and then try? Yes, still doesn't work under the other usersnames with 2013. Not sure if the newer AutoCAD versions work with the other usersnames on my computer because they don't have the new versions. This may not be relevant, but I do have another CAD guy next to me and it seems it seems to work on his 2016, but recently uninstalled 2013. The Autodesk 360 login you see in the image below won't even show up in 2013.

Ok, so it seems this issue is not Windows 7 A360 specific, but Windows 7 A360 AutoCAD 2013 specific. Started sometime in December 2015.

Still no solution @john.vellek for A360 from AutoCAD 2013. How come @john.vellek post is marked as a solution when the poster @Anonymous used my A360 Desktop Link as the solution and didn't actually fix the A360 from AutoCAD 2017? @john.vellek. I was origanlly marked as solution by the poster twice, then some how john got marked as a solution.

How do I delete this thread so that I stop getting irritating emails? The problem is solved and you all are still posting here. I unsubscribed from this twice now and I still get emails. If you insist on continuing your discussion on other different topics, please do so on a different thread. PLEASE do not respond to this.

Can't seem to log into Auto 360.

Error message reads:

Requested service not available

The Autodesk service you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable.

Please wait a few minutes and try again.

It's been 3 weeks of this problem ... so I'm guessing "wait and try again later" isn't a proper solution.

I tried renaming the "Web Services" Folder as suggested in This Post.  However it didn't seem to work either. Any ideas?

TIA.

Hi @Anonymous,

When you went through the steps from the other post, did you verify that A360 was not running (in the System Tray)?

Have you tried logging in to A360.autodesk.com through a web browser? Did that work?

@john.vellek A360 is not running in the System Tray.

I am logged in to A360 through the web browser, that is how I am accessing this forum to ask questions.

I am not able to sign into A360 through system tray with other user names.

Hi @Anonymous,

Trey having another user logon to your computer, start AutoCAD and see if they logon to A360.

By any chance, do you have your browser keeping you signed in? If you toggle that off and go through the previous steps you have done, does that remedy the problem?

Hi Jordan,

I apologize for the late reply.  If you are able to logon through a browser, are you also able to login via the A360 Desktop App? I had problems with this about a year ago and I uninstalled the desktop app and then reinstalled it.  This allowed me to logon inside of AutoCAD.

This still works for me as of 11/29/2018 on autocad 2016 when I cant sign in inside the program to get geolocation. Hope this helps someone searching the same thing as this is the first thread that pops up when searching in google.

Issue:

You are not able to sign in to Autodesk 360 or get online maps to show up using AutoCAD Map 3D and/or Civil 3D. Although the user name might appear in the login area from within the product, you are not logged in and cannot access something like Bing Maps. Clicking on the Sign in does not do anything.

Solution:

  1. Press WIN + R key to open Run window.
  2. Paste %localappdata% to the input box and click OK.
  3. It will open a file browser, then double click on the "Autodesk" folder.
  4. Find "Web Services" folder and append the name to have "Old" at the end.
  5. Close and relaunch Autodesk product.
  6. A360 login status should be reset and appear.
In some cases you might have to log off the A360 Desktop program from your system tray, then go through the steps above again.
