Hi!

Problem. If i have selected for example 30 different objects. Now if i want to kinda deselect for example 10 objects with one crossing. It only allows me to select one object at by one object. System variable pickadd is value 2.

There is something else.

press shift while making a crossing, this will deselect the objects you have in your crossing. This should work with pickadd (2).

Hi,

>> t only allows me to select one object at by one object

Check out sysvar PICKAUTO (>>>details<<<), try value 5 (which is the default).

Well, which version of AutoCAD do you have?

Try 1

Hi,

>> It is value 1

>> ACAD2013

Ok, then sorry that my guessing was not correct.

Let's start from the beginning with a new drawing:

You have a new drawing, you have created 5 lines (all in modelspace), without having a command active you click in the model a point (lower right of the current view) where is no geometry, then you move the mouse to the opposite corner and click to define the second point of the crossing window.

...and the result is only 1 of the 5 lines is selected?

If any of the steps are not working, please let us know which of the steps and what happend on your screen.

You might also try Autodesk Screencast (free tool for screen-recording >>>click<<<), that would show us what exactly happens.

On the opposite.

I can select as many as i want with one crossing. But if i want to deselect for example 3 object with one crossing, this does not let happen I can deselect object by object.

Hi,

>> But if i want to deselect for example 3 object with one crossing

And to deselect you press and hold <SHIFT> while clicking the two crossing-window-points?

Your PICKADD variable is set to 2 and you don't use Map3D or Civil3D?

Hi,

well, I'm out of ideas now.

If noone else has suggestions you could try to reset the settings of AutoCAD to default (as described >>>here<<<), if you first want to try if that helps without doing a reset of your profile you could create a new Windows user for your workstation, login with that account and see if AutoCAD works correct with selection-remove.

Sorry, - alfred -

Hi again,

just read another post with selection issues (not exact the same, but similar), there was the variable QAFLAGS the source of the problem, make sure it's set to 0

(that other post discussed it >>>click<<<)
