I'm having what seems to be a graphics issue, and I'm hoping someone can help. I open AutoCAD or Revit and can't see anything except the dimensions. No lines, no grid, nothing. I'm not sure if it has to do with some kind of setting I'm missing. Any help would be much appreciated!

Type XREF on command line, enter. In the xref manager, are there any dwgs shown in the File Refernces section? If there are, then you need to either reload or relink them. To reload, right click a dwg then select reload. To relink, go to bottom portion of xref palette, Details section. Scroll down to Saved Path, highlight it blue, then click on the ellipsis at the far right of the xref palette. Navigate to the appropriate dwg to relink. If you still cannot relink then you probably don't have access the xref's folder location.

Hi,

Some questions:
If it's drawing dependent please show us the dwg-file.

I can't even see a cursor to tell

Some questions:
- just one drawing or also other ones any and all drawings, new or existing
- can you draw a line and see the line in a new drawing? nothing, not even a cursor
- And what should exist in that drawing? just trying to draw a basic floor plan
- Are you referring to layout or to modelspace? both
- When you activate modelspace, then press <CTRL><A> .. what does the properties window report as selected objects? no selected objects
If it's drawing dependent please show us the dwg-file.

I had more questions, independent of you can see the cursor or not.
It's easier to help if you answer questions.

Hopefully you tested this with a drawing you know that it has objects on modelspace (e.g. in one of the sample drawings shipped with AutoCAD). If so try these steps:
Good luck, - alfred -
