Can't change text color

I have a lot of blue text notes on a drawing which I would like to change to black, but they stay the same even though I have changed color to black. Is the color governed by some other setting?

They are not TEXTs but MTEXTs... for sure

Are you changing the layer color, object color or overriding the text to change the color?

Yes I changed everything.

I suspect it's formatted that way

Hi,

yes, you used internal mtext formats to change the color, instead to change the color of mtext objects.

www Search for StripMtext

and edit your mtext while in bedit.

They're all [nested in a big Block] Mtext with the color as internal color formatting.  You probably need to get into the Mtext editor on each one, select all the content, and change the color setting, or clear all formatting if there aren't other properties in the internal formatting that you want preserved [italics, font, etc.].

There's a routine you can search for called STRIPMTEXT that will do that for you in all of them together [when you are in REFEDIT/BEDITing the Block if you need it not to be Exploded].
